MHS ALL CLASS REUNION COMMITTEE 2008 SALUTES MILFORD BANK FOR SERVING AS EVENT SPONSOR.  THIS  SOCIALLY SUCCESSFUL HAPPENING WOULD NOT HAVE BEEN  FINANCIALLY SUCCESSFUL WITHOUT THEIR SUPPORT.

ACKNOWLEDGEMENT STATEMENT OF APPRECIATION

Some thoughts and thanks to all Milford High School alumni, their mates and friends who gathered on the former football field June 28th to enjoy camaraderie and good times of days gone by.    Connecticut weather was perfect, if a little warm.  Memories flowed.

Everyone owes a great debt of gratitude to committee members who worked for over a year to organize this event and provide for a smooth-running affair.  Special thanks go to our chairman emeritus, Jim Rose “33”, for creating the event in 1983, and perpetuating it in 1993.

MHS ALL CLASS REUNION 2008 honored Jim as "king”   and

Josephine Kozlowski Pankiewicz "31" as well as Dorothy Winkler Paul "31" as our queens.

Special thanks are extended to:

·        Mayor James Richetelli, Jr.

·        The Milford Public Works Department, Recreation Department, Police Department and Fire Department for their cooperation

·        The Milford Board of Education

·        George Connolly for printing initial flyer invitations

·        Monica Foran (Fordal Mailing Services) for mailing invitations

·        The Babe Ruth League at Wasson Field who let us disrupt their schedule for a weekend

·        Dave Wray (DMW Graphics) for design layout of Souvenir Program

·        Imprint Printing of North Haven for printing of Souvenir Program

·        Foran High Natural Helpers

·        Shelton and Milford Jaycees

·        The Board of Directors and residents at River Park Apartments for opening “Old Milford High School”

·        The Downtown Milford Business Association, especially Tom and Anne Maher for recreation of the “cop bucket”

·        Durham Bus company for the shuttles

·        Westfield Connecticut Post Mall

·        The service clubs -- Pop Warner, Foran High Booster Club, Devon Lions, Republican Town Committee, and Milford Elks who sold food and drink to the assembled crowd.

·        Kyle Alston, a Notre Dame High School senior who sang the National Anthem and God Bless America.

·        The Boy Scouts of Troop 721  who assisted in our opening ceremony

·        The Irish Heritage Pipe Band who piped their tunes.

·        Dave Conroy (DJ) who spun records from all the eras.

YOU WERE ALL GREAT!

The final tabulation has not yet been made but we know that there will be a significant contribution to the Milford High School All-Class Reunion Committee Scholarship Fund.  It provides financial assistance each year to a graduate from each of the Milford high schools.

The ability to keep event registration fee affordable and still conduct a financially successful affair would not have been possible without our sponsor, The Milford Bank.  Truly a local institution, Milford Bank has been a dedicated partner to scores of community activities for many years.

IT HAS BEEN AN HONOR TO SERVE AS YOUR CHAIRMAN
BOB GREGORY "55"
